Husband To Serving Commissioner In Delta Dumps PDP, Joins APC
By Daniel Dafe
A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, Triple Chief Matthew Efeviroro Edjuto, has dumped the party and decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Edjuto is husband to Mrs Jennifer Adasen Efeviroro, the Honourable Commissioner for Science and Technology in the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led government,
The Deputy Senate President and governorship candidate of the party, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, and his running mate, Hon. Friday Osanebi on Saturday, welcomed him to the party.
Meanwhile, some Facebook users have wondered why a man from Arhavwarien, a community that is highly favoured by Okowa’s administration in terms of appointment and project will abandon the PDP that has done so much for his people.

A Facebook user wrote: “As I write now, class room project is ongoing in his community. There are three SSAs to the Governor from his community, the Secretary to the Local Government is from his community and his wife – Mrs Jennifer Adasen Efeviroro is the Commissioner for Science and Technology Delta State also from his community.
“My people, the good people of Ughelli South, let us be focus…His Excellency Sen. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa have done so much for us , let Support the PDP so we can get more development for our people.
“If a man whose wife is appointed as a Commissioner in the State feels that the Governor has not done anything for him, what will the son of an hunter without appointment say then.
“Decamping is not the solution….let no one deceive you…be focus.”
