Perform Your Duties Effectively To Ensure Peace, Security Of Ogwashi-Uku, OCSC Odvised

Members of Ogwashi-Uku Clan Security Council ( OCSC) have been advised to perform their duties effectively to ensure continuous peace at Ogwashi-Uku and its environs.

The Isagba of Ogwashi-Uku kingdom, Chief Jude Ndudi Ozah, gave the advice during a meeting with the group at Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.

Chief Ozah urged the group to see their major duty as community policing, work effectively with the police to ensure peace in the area at all times.

He advised OCSC members to avoid beating and insulting members of the public or detaining of suspects unnecessary, blocking of roads to collect money from road users, adding that they should observe all human rights in performing their duties.

Chief Ozah who is also the patron of the group advised them to shun actions that are capable of bringing shame to the group, saying that they should accord respect to members of the public as they perform their duties and avoid taking laws into their hands.

Earlier in his address, the Chairman of Ogwashi-Uku Clan Security Council, Mr Chukwunonso Ezediunor, thanked Chief Ozah for accepting to be the grand patron of the security group.

He said there are  other notable sons and daughters  in the Community, but that the group choose to border him to be their patron because they found out that he( chief Ozah ) promotes good things and equally meant well for Ogwashi-Uku kingdom, based on his numerous contributions to the development of the area.

He said the group is made up of able body men and women who  volunteered themselves to stand for the peace of the kingdom.

Mr Ezediunor said the group is comprised of heads, commanders and leaders of various local security outfit in Ogwashi-Uku kingdom
The body according to him include, Delta State Vigilante Ogbe-Onicha unit,Ogwashi-Uku vigilante,  Anioma Security watch, Aboh Ogwashi vigilante, Ogwashi-Uku palace guard, Federal  hunters and Forest guards, Azagba Ogwashi chapter, Olodu Community vigilante, Edo Ogwashi  community vigilante and olor community vigilante.

The OCSC boss enumerated  some of the challenges of the group to include, lack of mobility, poor communication system and materials required for carrying out successful operations,  appealing to Chief Ozah to come to their aid.

He said Ogwashi-Uku and its environs would remains peaceful, cool and calm and residents of the area would be free to go about their business , without fear, if the group is given needed support.
