Sunny Basikoro Dumps PDP Again, Joins APC, Gets Appointment As Aide To Agege

By Daniel Dafe
After defecting from the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State recently, Sunny Basikoro has again embraced the broom party, just as he announced his appointment as Legislative Assistant to the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
Basikoro, prior to the 2019 elections after dumping the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, worked hard for the APC but decided to rejoin the PDP this year, saying he was not catered for by the ruling party in the state.
Just a day ago, he had vowed to work hard for the gubernatorial election victory of the PDP governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori after his Supreme Court victory even though he was pro-Edevbie.
In his words: “God keep us,as a proud PDP MEMBER that i am; exactly the way Aduomayebe Adums Aghogho is doing his Social Media campaign for our party ( PDP) Candidates, that is how i am going to do mine as an Old Social Media hand.

“I am going to use all tactics to win souls to our party ( PDP). I am not going to dwell on insults nor campaign of calumny.
“My mission is to see how PDP wins the presidency & remain in Osadebey House in 2023.
“So help me God as a Politician & a Social Media Influencer, Amen.”
But in what seemed as a shocker to the PDP, he has decided to break alliance with the party and grab the opportunity with his appointment as an aide to Senator Agege.
On Friday, he wrote: “A Bird At Hand Is Worth More Than A Million In The Bush.
“I am now an Aid to DSP, Ovie Omo Agege, the next Governor Of Delta State.
“Congratulations to me.”
The said Facebook post has received over 300 likes and over 400 positive comments, signalling the acceptance of his move.
With this, it is certain that more defections may just be in the offing.
