Assemblies Of God Nigeria Elects Abel Amadi As New General Superintendent
Assemblies of God Nigeria which commenced operations in 1935 on Thursday chose a new leader.
Rev Dr. Abel Amadi, District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Nigeria’s Owerri East District, has been elected as the new General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Nigeria.
Rev Amadi was chosen at the 37th General Council meeting of the Assemblies of God Church, which is being held at Evangel Camp Okpoto in Ebonyi State, Nigeria.

Rev Dr Abel Amadi was elected early Thursday morning following the retirement of Dr Ejikeme Ejim with a total of 3233 votes to defeat Rev Godwin Amaowoh, his closest rival who polled 1,208.
Also, Rev. Dr. Ogba Onyeije, was elected as Assistant General Superintendent, Rev. Dr Godwin Amaowoh as General Secretary and Rev. Dr. Gabriel Michael, as General Treasurer.
Assemblies of God worldwide is the largest Pentecostal group in the world with over 60 million followers.
