Delta PDP Campaign Management Committee Visits Uduaghan
His Excellency, Gov Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan , CON, the Immediate Past Governor of Delta State earlier today received the Rt. Hon. Solomon Funkekeme-led Delta PDP Campaign Management Committee at his GRA Warri residence.
Rt. Hon. Solomon Funkekeme said that the committee decided to make a courtesy call on the former Governor and leader of Delta South to appreciate him for his effort towards reconciling and uniting stakeholders of the State PDP ahead of the 2023 elections.
The Campaign Director and former Commissioner of Works during Dr. Uduaghan’s administration described the former Governor as a leader with the Midas touch whose peace moves within the party couldn’t have come at a better time when the PDP needs everyone on board.

He appealed to Dr. Uduaghan not to relent in his effort and prayed for God to grant him strength and more wisdom to complete the reconciliation process.

On behalf of the State Campaign Council for standing in the gap at a time when we need someone who can brave the odds and bring all of us together in unity ahead of the 2023 elections,” he said.
Responding, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan thanked them for coming to show appreciation for the job he has been doing and pledged to continue his reconciliation moves until all the PDP candidates win their elections in 2023.
“I will use my experience and understanding of the political terrain both when I was outside and now back to our party to help us navigate out of this challenge. We have the strongest opposition now more than ever before. We shouldn’t leave any space for them to cause us an upset”.
He advised the committee to be careful of landmines as they go about their activities, saying it is not yet Uhuru.
He tasked the PCC with drumming enough support for the Vice Presidential Candidate of the PDP -Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa whom he described as a very smart politician and stated that his emergence as VP to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is an advantage for Delta State.
He said the corporate interest of the party should be the motivation towards supporting the Presidential candidate and his Vice ahead of next year’s election irrespective of the side of the stick anyone held at the last primaries.

Delta Central, Chief Sorhue amongst others.
