Delta PDP Is Winning, Not Contesting In 2023 — Esiso

By Daniel Dafe
Amidst several defections from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Chairman of the Party in the state, Olorogun (Barr.) Kingsley Esiso, has said that PDP is very set for the coming elections next year.
He said this during a phone conversation with Oasis Magazine on Thursday.
In his words: “We are very prepared to win not to contest, because we are going to win.”
Recall that in recent times, aggrieved party members defected from the ruling party and joined forces with the main opposition All Progressive Congress, APC.
Just on Wednesday, a former commissioner in the state, Dr. Karo Ilolo joined the APC.

Asked if such defections could stand on the way of his party’s victory in the coming elections, Esiso said that the defections are both ways, noting that some members of the APC have also moved over to the PDP.
On Ilolo’s defection, he said, “He has left politics. He is lecturing. I’m not even aware he’s still politicking. He left politics for teaching some years back.”
Rumours of more defections from the PDP?
“Don’t ask much question. Wait till you see them,” he responded.
