Comr Johnbull Onoriode Abuyu, Aide to the Delta State Honorable Commissioner of Works (Rural Roads), Hon. Solomon Golley, has condemned the abduction of Mr Efetobor Omovoria of UBA Group (Oghara Branch).

Omovoria was reportedly kidnapped on Thursday morning at his Okorodiden street residence close to Oghara Branch of the God’s Kingdom Society (GKS).

He urged the Delta State government and other security agencies to confront the challenge.

He said, “It is a menace and a threat to life and liberty of all Deltans. We must courageously stand collectively and confront the evil of kidnapping.

“There is the urgent need for communities to organise themselves, cooperate with security agencies and protect themselves against this spreading danger.

“We must not succumb to kidnappers nor allow them to dictate our lives.

“If we chose to remain silent and submit to fear of kidnappers, we encourage them the more.”

Abuyu, who described the abduction of the UBA official as evil, called for his unconditional release.

He also solicited the assistance of the public to free Efetobor Omovoria.
