It’s Official: Tinubu Wins Ekiti With 201,494 Votes

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared results of the Saturday’s presidential election in Ekiti state.

The Chief collation officer for the election, Professor Akeem Lasisi who declared the results on Sunday in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital said the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Tinubu won the state with 201,494 votes representing sixty five percent of total valid votes cast.

The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar polled 89,554 votes representing twenty nine percent, while the candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi scored 11,397 votes(four percent) and the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso got 264 votes.

Lasisi who is the Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun, Osun State said , “Ekiti has a total of 988,923 registered voters, out of this, the number of accredited voters 315,058. Total valid votes, 308,171, the number of rejected votes 6,301 and total votes cast, 314,470. This is the final result of the presidential election in Ekiti State.”
