The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Delta State again lost another chieftain of the party, Hon. Douglas Moses from Ogbe-Ijoh Ward 1, Warri South Local Government Area of the state has resigned his membership of the PDP and defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Recall that there has been a gale of defection from PDP in the state, with two former speakers of the state House of Assembly, BoT member, and many former commissioners in the state, a situation that has caused panic in Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Delta PDP camp.

Hon. Moses a former councillor in Ogbe-Ijoh and a grassroot political mobilizer in a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ogbe-Ijoh Ward 1, in Warri South LGA said that he resigned from the PDP on the account of the years of marginalization by the PDP-led government in the state in the past 24 years.

According to him, “I write to formally convey my resignation as a PDP member with effect from today, the 8th of February 2023.

“My resignation is occasioned by personal reasons and more especially the gross marginalization of my people.

“I, therefore, use this medium to thank the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the opportunities availed me while I was a member.”
