President Buhari To Address Nigerians Thursday

“President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 7 am.”

This was disclosed in a press statement on Wednesday signed by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President, (Media & Publicity).

Although the statement was silent on the focus of the broadcast, it may be connected to the crisis that has followed the swap of the old naira notes with the redesigned ones.

Recall that several protests rocked the nation on Wednesday with several banks burnt down in many states.

This is coupled with the scarcity of fuel with many petrol stations selling at high rates while others hoard the product.

Adesina called on television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.
