RPIND Endorses Delta PDP Governorship Candidate, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori

Ahead of the general election, the Riverine Peace Initiative in Niger Delta has thrown their support to the Delta State People Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate, Hon.Sherrif Oborevwori

The President of Riverine Peace Initiative in Niger Delta, Comrade Mulade Toluwa disclosed this in Warri when the PDP frontliner Candidate paid the group a visit soliciting for Vote from the Riverine areas in Delta State.

Comrade Toluwa who pointed out that the Riverine Peace Initiative in Niger Delta as a social political group has been observing all the Candidates gunning for the number one position in Delta state and have unanimously arrived at the conclusion to support Hon. Sherrif Oborevwori to emerge Governor of the state.

According to him, members of the group traced the humble beginning of Sherrif Oborevwori in Warri till date and find out that he has been a grassroots Man whose legacies are known by Warri residents.

Speaking further, he condemned those alleging that Hon. Sherrif Oborevwori could not execute any projects in his Constituency as he said his leadership footprint is open for all to see.

According to the group, they have resolved to work for a Governorship Candidate who will carry the ordinary Riverine people along in the scheme of things.

” Sherrif Obovewrie is a Man whose humble beginning can not be swept under the carpet and for that, we are going to work assiduously to ensure he emerges Governor come March, 2023″.

“We are not going to give our support to Candidates who has not suffered before, who will not feel the pulse of the ordinary people , who will sit on the high horse and be issuing command. Hon . Sherrif Oborevwori is the person who will understand our plights and provide the enabling environment for us to thrive.”

Speaking at the event, Hon Sherrif commended RPIND endorsement and assures the group that he will not take the support for granted.

According to Sherrif Obovewrie, if emerge as Governor of Delta state, all section of the state will be carried along in the scheme of things and would ensure that deltans experience leadership that they would be proud of in the history of the state.

He further said that Youths,Women, Men and people living with disabilities are the central focus of his administration.

Assuring Hon. Sherrif Oborevwori the support from members of the group and their various Communities, CSP Ebikebina Orubiri said they are willing to play their part by casting their votes and ensuring their Communities also vote for him as he employ Hon Sherrif Oborevwori to keep his campaign promises.

Also speaking,Comrade Peter German, the Publicity Secretary of RPIND, who said Hon. Sherrif Oborevwori should be rest assured of their support because RPIND is known for keeping it’s words.

“Our words is our bound, so long our President has given us a go ahead, be rest assured of our unalloyed support in the forthcoming election” he added.
