Delta 2023: Omo-Agege Is A Christian, Our Member –St. Jude’s Catholic Church
By Daniel Dafe
St. Jude’s Catholic Church has said that
Omo-Agege is a baptised practicing and dedicated member of the Roman Catholic Church.
This was contained in a statement on Saturday signed by the church’s Parish priest, Very Rev Fr. Mark Ikeke, while reacting to a rumour that Senator Agege is not a Christian.
Recall that some supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had taken to the social media to state that the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, in Delta State, Agege, should not be voted for in the March 18 election because he is an “igbe” worshipper.
The church added: “For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Bar. Ovie Omo-Agege is a baptised practicing and dedicated member of the Roman Catholic Church. He is a member of and a communicant in St. Jude Catholic Church, GRA, Effurun in Uvwie LGA.

“We recognise that this is an election season. We must however encourage our political leaders and their supporters to strive to uphold decorum, respect sacred lines and show love to all in their campaigns. We hope and pray that our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ should thoroughly guide our actions and inactions.
“The sole purpose of this information is to encourage decorum and also to uphold the truth regarding the Senator’s religious identity.”
