The event took place at the Local
government Council Secretariat.

Present at the event was the State
Chairman, PDP, Chief Bar.Kingsley Esiso, House of Assembly Member-Elect, Chief Awolowo Perkins Umukoro, Mr. Austin Ayemidejor, Chief Cyril Ogodo, Chief Godwin Dadi and others.

The message for the day was delivered by Archbishop Godday Iboyi of Promise Kingdom Assembly.

He took his text from the book of Romans, and emphasised that the
victory of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborivwori and other PDP members at the just concluded Election was God’s design.

“if God be for us, who can be against us,” he said.

After the charge by Archbishop Iboyi, Rev. Dr. Jonathan Iwhighwu, President, Ethiope Delta Baptist Conference prayed for the elected leaders.

Speaking with the press at the event, Chief Ayemidejor expressed excitement over the victory of PDP.

He pointed out that there was a lot of apprehension before the polls that the APC will steal the day but at the end, it was a landslide victory for the PDP with over 100,000 votes that separated the PDP from the APC.

On those that decamped from the PDP before the election to the APC, Ayemidejor said those politicians are not dedicated, and do not believe in the ideology of the party because belief in your party’s ideology makes one to be dedicated to the party and loyal to the end that such person will be ready to rise and fall with the party no matter what.

For those that decamped, Ayemidejor said they should learn and believe in the ideology of the party they have decamped to for them to have integrity and dignity of being called a politician.

Ayemidejor praised those PDP faithful that remain steadfast despite the storm and turbulence, before and during the election, particularly those that have stood by the party since 1998 to date.

Hon. Eugene Okpe Inoaghan, the executive Chairman, Sapele Local government area and host of the event, thanked all that graced the occasion and encouraged all PDP faithful to be steadfast and have belief in the party’s ideology.
