Traditional Ruler Arrested, Detained Over Anti – Government Publication

A trafitional ruler is currently under police custody for his comments on the social media concerning the state governor, Hope Uzodimma
HRH Eze Ekene Obinali, Okorowuikemba of Umucheke in Umuobom clan , Ideato South LGA made a publication in Ideato Voice WhatsApp Platform with the title “GOV HOPE UZODIMMA IN A FRESH SCANDAL”.
The publication which opens up the sharp practises of Gulak-APC primary elections of 2018, was seen as very dangerous for a governor who is preparing for a second term in office. The publication was made on Monday.

The harmful publication attracted the attention of very top state functionaries and security agencies in the state.
It is believed that the Royal Father, whose past records are commendable, have the support of the opposition parties in the state and must have been induced to make a publication that put the governor in a bad colour.
There is an instruction to keep the embittered Royal father behind the counter pending proper investigations on the reasons for his publication.
It will be recalled that the same traditional ruler has been involved in murder cases, embezzlement of his community funds, series of court cases against government officials including the Current Area Commander of Ideato and the Commissioner of Police, Imo State. Nobody knows what is going to be outcome of the police investigation and the possible action to be taken by the state government over the embattled traditional ruler.
It is observed that the traditional ruler has not been in the good book of the state government.
