Kidnappers Demand 5M Ransom For Ex-DELSU Student Abducted Along Asaba-Abraka Road

Kidnappers have demanded the sum of N5million as ransom to secure the release of a former student of the Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, Justice Okorocha.

Sources said he was kidnapped along Abraka-Asaba road on Tuesday, 4th April, 2023, while returning to Abraka from a business trip to Onitsha.

A Saturday post on Facebook by one of his friends, said: “The kidnappers just called the wife that if they don’t pay the N5M ransom, he will be killed by tomorrow.”

Adding: “They just got married this December, nothing is too small to assist his wife.

Meanwhile, a post by Sagboje Efe on Tuesday, said the wife of the victim informed him that a total of #1.3M has so far been raised, adding that “the ransom of #5M has also been renegotiated to #3M and the deadline is TODAY.”

“Please nothing is too small to support this young couple who got married last year December,” his post said.

Oasis Magazine learnt that he was one of the passengers in a bus heading to Abraka when the incident happened.

Details of the incidence were still sketchy at the time of this report.

Sympathizers have since reacted to the posts, praying for his safe return to his family.
