Nigerian IT Billionaire Buys Danish Football Club
Paystack co-founder Shola Akinlade has bought a 55% stake in
Danish second-division club Aarhus Fremad who are currently top of the Danish league and are on course for a promotion to the top division.

The Nigerian IT billionaire also founded Nigeria National League side Sporting Lagos in 2022 who will now have a partnership with the Danish club as a launchpad for young Nigerian players to move to Europe.
The deal would also help Sporting Lagos build some sporting principles and set up an academy as Akinlade becomes the fifth foreigner to own a club in Denmark.
