Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Delta State, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, has said that “the process of election in Nigeria is deteriorating on a yearly basis.

Ogboru said this in Abraka on Monday while addressing journalists on the just concluded elections.

He added: “From what we have witnessed, it will be safe to conclude that no person can win an election again except you have a very deep pocket.”

According to him, one of his children sent a text to him that said “daddy we will not contest in any election again unless we have Ten billion naira”.

He added: “So, I want to say that the youths of today have caged themselves. We find it a bit worrisome and unthinkable that people can willingly sell their birthright and they do this by selling their votes; by so doing, they consign themselves into modern slavery where they have no voice to question the activities of the government. This is sad, pathetic and unacceptable. The future generations have to guard against it.”
