…As CMPG Passes Vote Of Confidence On Chairman

Executive Assistant on Communications to Delta State Governor and Chairman, Coalition for Media Politics and Governance, CMPG, Olorogun Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has added another colourful feather to his cap for emerging as the “Most Outstanding Media Personality in Media Politics and Political Communication,” in the state.

The Award which was presented to him by the Editorial Board and Management of NelExpress Magazine on Wednesday in Asaba, took place at the EAC’s office in Government House, Asaba.

The Editor-in-Chief cum Publisher of NelExpress Magazine, Comrade Nelson Agbajor, said the Award is in recognition of Oghenesivbe’s selfless, committed and dedicated professional service in Strategic Communication spheres; and for his enviable contributions to the growth of Media Politics and political communication, as well as for his pragmatic leadership in Media Management spanning over two decades.

“Your great feat in strategic political communication and media politics has impacted positively on the growth and advancement of the industry.

“NelExpress Magazine Editorial Board and Management reviewed activities of media practitioners in Delta State, especially those in government, and came to the conclusion that you have passionately, doggedly and professionally added inestimable values to the new emerging trend of hardcore media politics, crisis communication management and strategic political communication, wherein you have maintained robust and result oriented relationship with Journalists across board, and counting.

“Dr Oghenesivbe’s professional expertise and creative writing skill is unique, exclusive, result oriented and worthy of emulation by media practitioners who want to make impact and excel in the sepheres of media politics, strategic political communication and information management strategy, which is a clear departure from conventional news gathering and reporting.

“The Award is in the Ambassadorial Category, requiring you to provide unrestricted editorial advise and guide the Board’s operation as a consummate leader in the industry,” Agbajor said.

Responding, Oghenesivbe thanked the Editorial Board and Management of NelExpress Magazine for the Award and for projecting the governorship ambition of the Governor-Elect and the achievements of Okowa administration.

He promise not to relevant in his efforts to render selfless service to the growth of Media politics, strategic communication and information management strategy, as we navigate from Okowa’s Stronger Delta agenda to Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E agenda on May 29.

“I deeply appreciate this special Award. I dedicate it to God Almighty for His grace upon my life.

“I appreciate my Boss, His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, for giving me the required latitude and funding to exhibit my skills and professional expertise.

I am full of gratitude to the State Government for investing substantially in developing and sharpening my skills through several state sponsored professional capacity building programmes, and for sponsoring my Professional Doctorate Degree programme in Crisis Communication and Information Management Strategy, at the prestigious Liberal Billingual University of Togo, LBUT, in conjunction with the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management of Nigeria, CIISM,” Oghenesivbe said.

The Award presentation was witnessed by members of the Coalition for Media Politics and Governance, CMPG, as it coincided with the May 2023 meeting of the group on Wednesday.

In a related development, CMPG members at the May 2023 meeting on Wednesday in Asaba, passed vote of confidence on their Chairman, Olorogun Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, JP, for his leadership roles since the group was inaugurated on December 2, 2021 by the Secretary to the State Government, High Chief Patrick Ukah, Fnipr

CMPG noted that Oghenesivbe led the group to champion the media and strategic communication agenda for the Governorship ambition of Delta State Governor-Elect, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, before and after Delta PDP governorship primary, in and out of elections, and confronted all entities against the candidacy of the incoming governor and also proved his worth as super media manager, a disciplined team player and campaign spokesperson for Delta PDP 2023 Campaign Council.

The meeting resolved to celebrate her 2nd anniversary on December 2, 2023, and shall set up Subcommittees during June 2023 meeting to organize and manage the anniversary event in Asaba
