Continue To Remain Peaceful, Oborevwori Urges Agbarha Warri People

Governor ( Elder ) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori has urged the people of the ancient Urhobo Kingdom of Agbarha Warri in Warri South Local Government Area to continue to remain peaceful.
This was contained in a keynote address read on his behalf by the Chief of Staff Government House, Asaba, Hon ( Prince ) Johnson Erijo during the grandfinale of rites of passage of HRM London Aforkerhi Itu JP, Ememoh 11, the Ovie (tradititioal ruler) of Agbarha Warri kingdom at the famous Essi College, Warri on Saturday, 17th June, 2023.

Governor Oborevwori in his thoughts provoking address, noted that it was only a peaceful environment that can guarantee meaningful development.
He had praised the departed traditional ruler for his peaceful reign.
Governor Oborevwori noted that from testimonies of those that spoke at the event, the traditional ruler fondly called Orhifi “was a peaceful man who brought peace to his people and that he led his people very well.”
Meanwhile community leaders , mostly among nonidigenes and traders who spoke to our correspondent also made similar remarks as they expressed joy that they were at the event to honour the king of the Agbarha Warri people who they described as peaceful and hospitable.
An Hausa yam seller in Igbudu Market, Warri who identified himself as Salami Haruna stated that “we are here to honour our great king voluntarily; no directive would have asked us to open our stalls for business in this all important day,” he added.
The occasion was richly graced by the Deputy Governor of Delta Hon Monday Onyeme, the Senator representing Delta South Joel Onowakpor, Senator representing Delta Central, Ede Dafinone , Senator Aguariavwodo, member representing Warri Federal Constituency, Chief Thomas Eriyetomi and ,the Deputy Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Arthur Akpowowo .
The member representing Warri South Constituency 1 at the Delta State House of Assembly, Dr Augustine Oroye, the member representing Warri South Constituency 11 Chief Benson Obire, scores of other members of Delta State House Assembly among other distinguished personalities from far and near were spotted at the grandfinale of passage of rites of the great king who ruled peacefully for 28 years.
