Governor Oborevwori Will Meet Yearnings Of Deltans – Akasa

The Unuevworo of Uvwie Kingdom , High Chief Hope Akasa ( JP ) has expressed hope that Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori will meet the yearnings of Deltans.
Akasa who is the highest tradititioal chief in Uvwie Kingdom stated this in media chat with our correspondent on the 60th birthday anniversary of Governor Oborevwori in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area on Wednesday 19th June, 2023.
“I am convinced that he ( Governor Oborevwori ) will meet the yearnings of Deltans as somebody that has worked closely with former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for six good years as the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly ‘
” He is surely going to improve on former Governor Okowa ‘ s achievements.” he added
The highly esteemed Uvwie high chief who scored Governor Oborevwori high in performance as the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly , stated that Deltans should therefore count ourselves lucky to have Rt Hon as their governor .
He siezed the opportunity to applaud former Governor Okowa for his firm support for zoning of the governorship seat of Delta State and for ensuring that the Okpe / Uvwie axis of Urhobo Nation produced the governor in Delta Central.

” This shows that he ( former Governor Okowa ) is abreast with the politics of Urhobo Nation , for the Okpe / Uvwie axis of Urhobo Nation has never had a shot at the governoship seat among the Urhobos. ” he stated
Akasa who appreciated former Governor Okowa for his patronage for Uvwie Kingdom in terms of infrastructural developments, appointments and his annual financial contributions to the Uvwie Education Scholarship Scheme, gladly noted that the Urhobos and indeed Deltans were happy about the emergence of RT Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori as governor of Delta State.
