Obaseki Decorates 54 Newly Promoted Police, NSCDC Officers
The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on Monday, decorated 54 newly promoted security officers in the State, including police officers and officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), with their new ranks.
The decoration followed recent promotions approved by the Police Service Commission (PSC) for deserving officers with the requisite experience, years of dedicated service, and academic records.

The officers who are attached to the Governor and other government officials in the State were decorated at the Government House, in Benin City.
The governor while decorating the officers charged them to continue to uphold the rule of law, and support the government’s effort at ensuring the safety and security of lives and property across the State.
Obaseki said his government is committed to peace, security, and development in Edo, reassuring that the State will continue to partner with security agencies to combat crime and criminality and ensure lasting peace and security across all communities in the State.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, SP Ibrahim Babatunde Mojeed, while commending the governor for his commitment to improving security in the State, said the officers’ promotion came between April and May 2023.
