Several Persons Feared Dead In Boat Mishap At Okpe LGA In Delta

Unspecified number of persons have been reportedly feared dead following a fatal boat mishap at the Ughoton river in Okpe local government area of Delta state, Friday evening, AIT.LIVE reports.
Local sources said the victims were returning from a burial ceremony in Ukpokiti, a riverine community in Warri South Local Government Area, when the speed boat they boarded rammed into a concrete pillar of the Ughoton Omadino bridge.

Only two persons were said to have survived the unfortunate incident as they were able to swim out of the river unhurt.
Bodies of the victims of the boat mishap are still missing as local divers from nearby communities have intensified search for them.
