Former Ogun Governor, Gbenga Daniel Asks State Govt. To Stop His Pension After Inauguration At Senate

After his inauguration at the Senate, Senator representing Ogun East, Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has written to Governor Dapo Abiodun, MFR, CON to stop his pensions and other entitlements.

Senator Daniel who disclosed that he wrote the said letter on June 14, 2023, said it was to notify the governor of his decision, just as he gave reasons for this action.

He said in a tweet that he took the decision to have the monthly payment of N676,376.95kobo being gross payment for his pension and allowances as former governor of the Ogun State suspended immediately.

“This decision, I made, in good conscience, moral principles and guiding ethics.

“It is also important to state that this is the only payment and package I get from the state government as a former governor,” he added.
