Yahoo 419 Syndicate Impersonates Delta SSG, Emu
…Advises Members Of The Public To Report Suspected Scammers To Police

It has been revealed that some “yahoo boys” cum advance fee fraud criminal elements, aka 419ners are all over the place, scamming unsuspecting members of the public by criminally impersonating the enviable reputation and personality of the Secretary to Delta State Government, SSG, Dr Kingsley Emu.
A statement signed by the Public Relations Unit of Delta SSG’s office, disclosed that the faceless criminals created fake WhatsApp Account with phone number 08088883751 through which they scam desperate individuals, promising them all kinds of nonexistent favour in government.
It was also discovered that the advance fee fraud criminals provided an active
Access Bank Account Number: 1636331720 operated by one Olaitan Oladipo, through which their unfortunate victims deposited money for use by members of the syndicate.

In the light of the above, SSG Kingsley Emu, has appealed to Deltans and by extension, members of the general public to report to the nearest Police Station or DSS Office in Asaba, any unsolicited correspondence via email, WhatsApp message, phone calls or any other form of communication, requesting for certain amount of money, and to in return gain any kind of favour from Delta State Government or the Office of the SSG.
The statement further added that SSG Emu and the office of Delta SSG, do not and will never write to anybody or request any member of the public to pay money into any account, so as to get any kind of favour from the state government or from his office.
He assured that law enforcement agents has intensified efforts to apprehend the criminals and make them face criminal prosecution in a Court of competent jurisdiction.
“The attention of the Secretary to Delta State Government (SSG) has been drawn to the activities of some impostors who are using the name of his office to engage unsuspecting members of the public through phone number 08088883751 and a fake WhatsApp account with the picture of the SSG with the clear intention of defrauding them of their hard earned money.
“The office of the SSG is issuing this disclaimer as an alert to the public to disregard any message or phone call in the nature of a solicitation as neither the SSG nor his office works through such a process.
“Security agencies have been notified of the fraudulent activities of this faceless group and investigation is ongoing to unravel those behind the scam.
“Therefore, it is in the interest of the group to desist from its unwholesome acts as anyone caught would be made to face the full wrath of the law,” the statement added.
