Ecological Fund: Reps Panel Summons CBN, Accountant General, Others

Members of the House of Representatives are investigating how the Ecological Fund released for the Great Green Wall was utilized and to achieve this it has summoned for Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN and the attorney General of the Federation, AGF for clarity over the fund.

Also invited is the Federal Ministry of Environment and the National Agency for the Great Green Wall (NAGGW)

The exact funds received through the policy, foreign donations for the initiative and the level of compliance with goals and objectives of the project will also be ascertained.

Also invited are State Governments and relevant stakeholders with useful information on the matter.

Meanwhile, analysts have said that with this investigation, corruption, inefficiency and waste shall be revealed, exposed and attended to.
