Ex Nigeria Internationals Endorse Gov. Oborevwori Novelty Match And Merit Award, Commend LOC

Retired Nigeria National Team players have endorsed the Novelty Match and Delta Legendary Sports Award ceremony to mark the 100th day in office of the new elected Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and in honour of sports personalities who contributed to sports development in the state.

Former English premier league, Leeds United and Super Eagles defender, Sam Sodje who expressed satisfaction from UK where he went to for holiday has promised to be on ground to support as he commended the initiators, saying that it will heighten the need to contribute more in developing sports in the state and beyond.

He added: “This is brilliant! It will encourage one to strive more to contribute to develop the game with appreciable display.

“It will be lovely to see great players in a unity game like this and to discuss the way forward.”

Also Trinidad and Tobego 2001 FIFA Under 17 Silver medalist and Flying Eagles defender, Joseph Eyimofe said the backing of sports activities in less than 100 days in office of the new Governor is an indication that there will be continuity in sports development of both human and infrastructure.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the LOC, Prince Godstime Emiko thanked Chairman of the Delta State sports commission, Chief Tonobok Okowa and Delta Youths for More Agenda for the initiative.
