Church Gists
Former Power City Church Member Writes Open Letter To Abel Damina
MY PASSIONATE LETTER TO PASTOR ABEL DAMINA. COMING FROM ONE OF THE MEN THAT HATES ANYWHERE HE IS BEING INSULTED…
A former member of Power City Church, Akwa Ibom- under Dr. Abel Damina has written an open letter to the cleric on Jos teachings that have been termed as heresy by many.
Please, sir, our problem is not doctrines…But unholy living, pursuit of vain glory, lack of contentment, disloyalty, greed and spiritual inconsistency…
If you have revelations that will help us in these areas, please, that is how you can help us….
I was a member of your church, Power City in Uyo in the early 2000 while a Diploma student of Uni Uyo and my respect for you started from then…
And I know that you are rich in spiritual knowledge and boldness, because I watched you almost every Sunday declaring undiluted word of God before the high profile lecturers and chancellors of uni Uyo that troop to your church weekly…
And you never cared who was coming or who was going… I also watched God use you to baptise many into their different callings…

But, please, sir…
We already have a lot of church goers who are struggling with so many things in Zion…They love God with their heart but they are struggling to live right…
Can this generation come to your space and drink spiritual waters that will help them go back home and conquer things that held them down…
Not to come and dabble into controversies that will make them battle with confusion for long before standing on their foot again…
The Aromes… The Jerry Eze’s…The Selmans … etc were still kids when you were already carrying the power of God and rolling with the Oyedepos and the T.L Osbornes…
But today, this generation is running to them…Not because they have it all..: But because these men are answering their spiritual questions…
I know it so deep in my heart that if God can find a man who is showing this generation a way to love Him more, there is no limit to what He will do with that man…
I beg you, sir…Doctrine is not our problem…
Sin is our problem…
I wish you can teach us how to love this God more and leave all the controversial subjects that makes mockery of your sacrifices in the Body of Christ…
It pains me when I hear people calling you all manner of names, because I know that you are bigger than what they think you are…
Please, sir…
Preaching doctrinal exactitude to a generation that is going from church to hell fire is misfiring…
Do you not bother that our love is growing cold daily even with our punctuality and regularity in church?
Does it not bother you that some of our brothers who are killing their fellow human beings for rituals purposes to make money are ushers and some even committed members of our churches?…
Is this the time to start releasing doctrinal bullets that leaves people more confused than they already were?…
I am not in your class, sir..:
But for the repect I have for the price you have paid in this journey, I beg you to please, feed us…
Please, sir, as a gifted and mandated teacher…
Teach us…
But not with the bread of controversy…
We are thirsty, but not of the water of confusion …
We need help…
We need to love righteousness and hate iniquity…
We need to stay all night in prayers the way we stay all night watching BBNaija…
Please, teach us to pray, sir…
Teach us to study the Word of God…
Teach us to go to evangelism and lay hands on the sick, whether they get healed or not…
We can’t have a bold father like you in our days and we are wondering around like chicken without boldness to take the war to the enemies camp?…
Remember how much you terrorised powers of darkness in your youthful age…Remember how much spiritual energy you had when you were growing up…
If we have young ones in town that can operate with such energy as you had in your young days, do you know the damage help will suffer?…
Sir, we need you now… But we don’t need controversies now…
It is because of this time that God raised you …
You are deep, while we are not…
You are already in glory… while we are in trouble …
Our generation don’t need depths… All we need is Jesus…
Please, sir, “come over to the level of our generation and help us”…
Please, sir, “come over to our level and help us”…
I love you from the depth of my heart…
Let us pray!
