Gemade Lauds Alia’s Takeoff, Declares Support To The New Adminstration
Former gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Benue State, Sen. Barnabas Gemade has lauded the initial steps of Governor Alia’s administration, which he said has begun in a favourable way.
Sen. Gemade, Tuesday, August 14, 2023 led a delegation of his supporters on solidarity visit to Governor Hyacinth Alia at Government House Makurdi.
He declared his support to the new administration and handed over his support base from across the twenty three local Government Areas to the Governor to strengthen the administration’s quest for a new Benue.

During a joint interview with journalists at the end of the meeting which held behind closed doors, the two leaders emphasized the need for unity for a sustainable progress in Benue State.
They both urged Benue citizens to rise above party differences and remain united and focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
Governor Alia particularly acknowledged the positive impact of Sen. Barnabas Gemade on politics in Benue State and Nigeria at large, pointing out the latter’s commitment to entrenching unity and deepening internal democracy in the APC.
He said politics was over and now it was time for governance hence the need for all levels of the party to work harmoniously to ensure effective provision of governance to the citizens.
Governor Alia added that the visit by Senator Gemade was a clear testimony that APC was not a divided party contrary to the opinion of the opposition.
