Meet Nigerian University Professor Who Is A Local Barber
Prof. Bashir Aliyu Sallau is a senior Lecturer at the Hausa Department of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) in Katsina State.
He is also a local Barber, popularly called ‘Wanzan’ in Hausa land as a ‘side hustle’.
Prof. Sallau says he is proud of his ‘side hustle’ as it was the same work that bailed him out during the protracted ASUU Strike in 2022 when the Federal Government introduced ‘No Work, No Pay’ policy to tackle striking University teachers for months.
