Taraba Mobile Court Convicts Three For Illegal Mining

Three (3) persons were on Saturday convicted for violating the Executive Order of the State Governor aimed at protecting the Environment.
Oasis Magazine learnt that the convicts shall be sentenced to jail on Monday, the 14th day of August, 2023.
The Prosecuting Team on behalf of the Taraba State Government was led by Barrister Nierus Johnson and Barr. C.R Shaki all from the Attorney General’s Chambers.
The prosecutors prayed the Court sentence the convicts to prison to serve as a deterrent to others.

Some items suspected to be precious stones known as conzile were recovered and seized from the suspects.
The illegal mining site in Gidan Argulu in Bali LGA causing Environmental degradation was also SEALED by Order of Court.
