A human rights activist in Delta State and strong member of Committee for Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Edevbie Emmanuel, has congratulated and celebrated the Honorary Doctorate Degree awarded to the Group Managing Director of Income Electrix Limited and Director of PHED. Ltd, Engr. Matthew Edevbie, on the conferment of a Doctor of Science in Engineering (Honoris Causa) on him by the Michael & Cecilia Ibru University.
Edevbie, a seasoned engineer with over 30 years’ experience in various aspects of electrical engineering concept, design, procurement, construction, operations management, maintenance and consulting was given the honour at the university’s 5th convocation held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
Emmanuel, in his congratulatory message to his uncle, made available to Oasis Magazine, said that “this honorary award of doctorate degree on his Uncle is not a surprise to him, because it is on records or disc kits that Engr Matthew is over due for numerous awards in academic profession, but since he is private and a silent goal getter who never does publicity just like the Pharisees and normal Nigeria political leaders, hence all these glorious achievements have been archived by many Nigerians and Across the globes.”
He added: “Uncle has been seen as a catalyst of progress; a man with reputable character and impressive personality; a gentle fine man with the strength of eagles, who over the years has built for himself an enviable empire that had accommodated successful thousands human with indisputable remarks.
“His philanthropic activies across the globe has no match. The award given to him would not have been possible If not because of his love for education and contribution to the development of individual persons in quest for academic growth.”

The activists prayed for many more fruitful years for Engr. Edevbie, just as he also wished him more wisdom to do more for humanity.
