Youth Group Rates Oborevwori High On Deliverables Within 100 Days In Office
By Patrick Ochei
A youth group under the aegis of MORE For Delta Youth Project has rated the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori high for delivering on strategic projects and mainstreaming good governance policies as he marks his 100 days in office.
The Deputy Director General (Operations) of the group, Amb. Ugagaoghene Ogheneyole who briefed the press in Asaba, Tuesday 5th September, 2023, scored the Governor 90 percent for adequately attending to the ongoing projects before the expiration of the Immediate Past administration, as well as his proactive approach to give Warri a face-lift within his 100 days in office.
Ogheneyole who commended the Governor for appointing youths into his Government, said the group thought it wise to use the platform of the celebration of 100 days in office of the Governor, to urge Deltans to keep faith with the new Sheriff in town, adding that Governor Sheriff is truly the leader that the people deserve.
The vibrant youth leader said, he was amazed at the number of projects the Governor had executed in record time, which are ready for commissioning to celebrate his 100 days in office.

He equally lauded the Governor for the #5 billion approved to pay promotion arrears to civil servants and another #10 billion approved to pay salary bonus of #10,000 each to the same civil servants, including start up grants, business stability grants to other individuals as palliatives to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal.
According to Ogheneyole, “We are impressed with the performance of the Governor so far; and that is why we have boldly come to appreciate Deltans for voting such a charismatic and capacity Governor.
“In the last 100 days in office, the Governor has taken adequate and visible steps to address the challenges of Deltans in the areas of massive infrastructure development of previously ongoing and new projects, and again the issue of flooding is doggedly tackled to give our environment the desired status.
“This Government has given a sense of belonging to the youths, and we are happy. The Government of Sheriff Oborevwori is a rich blend of averagely old and youths who are eager to deliver on mandate. A Governor who found it expedient to execute projects left by the past administration, is a good Governor.
“I want to rate Governor Sheriff Oborevwori 90 percent for the much he has accomplished within this record time. In the development sector, the best way to rate a working Government is to check target against delivery. By this I make bold to say that, almost 90 percent of projects from the past administration is completed and ready for commissioning as part of activities marking the Governor’s 100 days in office.
“Delta is ahead in public sector infrastructure development. However, our people should expect more from Governor Sheriff Oborevwori going forward”, the youth leader said.
