DAPBC: Igbos, Other Non-Indigenes Celebrate Appointment Of Ezeh

It was a time of glory for the immediate past President of Ohaneaze Ndigbo Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts, Chief ( Sir ) Michael Ezeh ( JP) as the Igbos, other non- indigenes as well as friends of Igbos in Delta State, celebrated his appointment as a member of the Delta State Advisory And Peace Building Council in a grand reception at his posh residence in Effurun Local Government Area after the inauguration of the council by Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori on Tuesday 10th October, 2023.

The pioneer President of Ohaneaze Ndigbo Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts, Chief (Sir) Peter Chukwu ( JP ), the leader of Igala ethnic nationality in Delta State, HRH Dr Francis Y Salifu ( JP), the chairman of non – indigenes in Delta State Ughelli based Chief Christian Nwakama, the Secretary Justices of Peace, Warri South Local Government Area Chapter Hon Francis Obule ( JP ) among others in their seperate speeches at the very colourful event affirmed that the appointment has conferred on the Ebonyi State charismatic leader and philanthropist the chairmanship and political leadership of non indigenes in Delta State just as they praised Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for his wisdom of selecting him as member of the council.

They also canvassed support for Ndigbo Political Ambassadors ( NPA ) of which the new political leader of non indigenes in Delta State is the chairman.

A highly esteemed member of Ohaneaze Ndigbo Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts, Nze Francis Onuora who is a former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to former Governor Okowa on Community Development , expressed appreciation to Governor Oborevwori for the recognition given to the Igbos through the appointment.

He advised Igbos to give their support to the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) in order to benefit more from the party.”

“To whom much is given , much is expected, ” he added.

The Secretary of Ohaneaze Ndigbo Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts, Hon Ogbonnaya Igwe PHD who is a former Special Assistant ( SA ) to former Governor Okowa on Community Development, the Assistant Secretary of the group in the area , Comrade Festus Ukeje (aka June 12) who is a former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to former Governor Okowa on Political Matters and the Woman Leader of the group in area Lady Florence Ngozi Ngonadi spoke in the same vein.

In his response, a joyous Chief Ezeh humbly attributed the appointment to handiwork of God just as he appreciated Governor Oborevwori for the honour given to him through the appointment.

He expressed his deep appreciation to former Governor Okowa for the good things he did for the Igbos foremost among which is the prevailing peace and unity among the Igbos in Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts.

Ezeh was also full of praises for the pioneer President of Ohaneaze Ndigbo Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts, Chief Sir Peter Chukwu JP for the price he paid for the peace and unity among the Igbos in the area.

He gave kudos to Nze Francis Onuora for his avowed commitment to the growth and development of Igbos in Delta State.

Chief Michael Ezeh then promised to use his new position for advancement of Igbos and other non indigenes in Delta State as well as to support the Governor Oborevwori and the PDP .

High points of the epoch making event were the reading of the rich citation of Chief Michael Ezeh JP by Ogbonnaya Igwe PHD and the presentation of NPA customised T – shirts and face caps to distinguished personalities present at the occasion.
