The President General of Agbarha Warri kingdom Chief Emmanuel Ememu (JP), leaders of All Progressives Congress( APC ), Warri South Local Government Area, Comrade Marcus Akuruli, Prince Odjuvwun Okumagba were among jubilant Urhobos of Warri that hailed the APC member representing Warri South Constituency 11 at the Delta State House of Assembly , Chief Hon Benson Obire on his Appeal Court victory over the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) House of Assembly candidate at the last general elections, Mathew Poko Opuoru.

Chief Ememu hailed the judiciary for delivering a judgement which he noted was fair and just.

The highly esteemed Agbarha Warri high chief also stated that his remark was based on the realities of the elections and that with his position he was bound to give a fair and just comment on issues brought before him.

He maintained that Chief Obire who was a former youth chairman of Agbarha Warri kingdom and a high chief of the kingdom was voted for massively because according to Chief Ememu, Hon Obire was a better choice and more closer to the people.

“This is not a matter of politics but it is the gospel truth,” he added.

Ememu who congratulated the lawmaker further remarked that the Appeal Court judgement was a deserved victory for democracy.

On his part, Prince Odjuvwun Okumagba, a biological son of Okumagba 1 HRM Benjamin Okumagba ( of blessed memory ) spoke in the same vein as he also gave the judiciary a pat on the back for the victory of his party’s member.

Comrade Marcus Akuruli stated that it was also a deserved victory for democracy and Hon Benson Obire .

“We worked for it and we got it. Fortunately for us, we presented a sellable candidate. The people were desirous for a change. That was why we won

” This is a clear indication that we are on ground,” he stated.
