Umolo David Emerges 3rd Overall Best Post Graduate Student Of UI
The Acting Director of Information and communication Technology, Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Delta State, Umolo David, has Emerged 3rd Overall best graduating masters student in the faculty of science and the entire University of Ibadan.
This development was made known during the 2023 convocation and award ceremony of the premier Nigeria University for the 2020/2021 Academic session on the 16th November 2023.
Umolo David who’s also seeking to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy attained a perfect CGPA of 7.0/7.0 in M.sc statistics (Economic and Financial statistics) to emerge 3rd best graduating student.
Umolo David who hails from Umolo-Olomu town in Ughelli-South Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria, was born and raised by Late Mr. Joseph Umolojevwe and Chief Mrs Alice Umolojevwe. He had his primary education at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Missionary School, Ayede-Obese, Akure where his outstanding performance and passion for learning led to his appointment as the Head boy and also the Senior prefect in his secondary school.
He went to Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, where he graduated with Distinction in Mathematics and Statistics in 2011 and earned the Best Student Award. In 2014, he got a Higher National Diploma in Statistics from the same polytechnic where he emerged as the most outstanding student of all time reference.
He got a Bachelor Degree in the Department of Statistics, University of Ibadan and in 2016 where his sterling academic performance earned him an award on the Deans Roll of Honors as a First Class Student, and became a University Scholar.
David who is the current Ag. Director of information and Communication Technology Unit, Federal Polytechnic Orogun Delta, expressed his gratitude to God almighty over the good news and thanks the management of University of Ibadan for the honour bestowed on him.
