Chevron Family, Relations, Friends Celebrated Meritorious Retirement Of Sir David Ikutegbe

Appreciative of Chevron family, relations and friends of Sir David Edafe Ikutegbe, a retired Marine and Rolling Equipment Superintendent celebrated his meritorious retirement from Chevron Nigeria Limited in a very colourful way at Chevron Club, Edjeba Warri on Friday, 22nd December, 2023.

Those who spoke at the auspicious occasion attested to the goodness of Sir David Edafe Ikutegbe to humanity, and his dedication to duty while at service.

SirIkutegbe got applause and appreciation from his royal father, HRM Onajite Igere Adjara III, the Ovie of Ogor Kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State for his immense contributions to the growth and development of the kingdom.

The traditional ruler ‘s message was delivered through the Prime Minister of the kingdom, High Chief Raphael Emecho.

An elder brother of the celebrant, Elder Kesiena Ikutegbe remarked that his younger brother was a destiny child.

The children of Sir Ikutegbe, Afoke and Uvie, the chairman of the event, Chief Solomon Edebiri, the father of the day, Mr. James Akpomiemie among others poured encomiums on an elated Sir David Edafe Ikutegbe.

Ikutegbe in his thought provoking speech at the epoch making event, attributed hard work and the grace of God to his success so far in life which he said was an inspiration to others.

He posited that God has a time for everyone and that life is a sequence.”

If it is delayed, don’t bother, ” he added.

Sir Ikutegbe however quickly asserted that hard work pays and that education is not a scam.

He also emphasized on Chevron core values of “Integrity, Trust, and Ingenuity” which he strongly believes everyone should hold on to in life.

Sir Ikutegbe who gave a brief biography of himself and states that a book is in the working title “The Mystery of a Survivor” that will contain the stories of his life struggles will be launched during the first quarter of 2024.

He had earlier expressed appreciation to those who honoured him with the event.

High points of the event was the cutting of cake and presentation of gift items by appreciative guest to the celebrant.

The event was richly attended by distinguished personalities from far and near.
