Ekedayen Vows To Make Uvwie Greater With Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda.

A Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) Uvwie Local Government Council chairmanship aspirant, Pastor Vincent Ekedayen has vowed to make Uvwie Local Government Area greater with Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori ‘ s MORE Agenda if voted into power.

This was contained in his address during his consultation visit to the executive of the apex socio cultural body in Uvwie Kingdom, Uvwie General Improvement Union (UGIU ).

Ekedayen noted that Uvwie is great but however vowed that he will make Uvwie greater with the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori if he becomes the chairman of the local government council

He stressed that he will serve Uvwie Local Government Area with his personal wealth, just as he promised among others things to showcase the cultural heritage of Uvwie people , provide vehicles for UGIU, build , E – library, empower the aged , women and youths of Uvwie origin .

” The hope Uvwie people have been looking for has come, ” he assured.

The pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God suggested the conversion of the annual ‘ Uvwie Day ‘ to ‘ Uvwie Carnival ‘ in order to attract tourists to the area as was done in Calabar, Cross Rivers.

The cleric cum politician also made it clear that all his words were covernants and not promises to Uvwie people.

Pastor Ekedayen also proudly and gladly disclosed that his chairmanship ambition has the support of Uvwie indigenes in the United States of America and United kingdom .

He however solicited for the payers of the President General of UGIU, Chief Abovi Hope Erute in order to actualize his political ambition.

In his response, the President General of UGIU Chief Abovi Hope Erute applauded Pastor Ekedayen for his presentation.

Erute stated among other things that the prayer of every patriotic indigene is that the next chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council should be a candidate that will take Uvwie to greater heights by meeting aspirations of the people, established a robust relationship with the Ovie of Uvwie Palace , UGIU among others other expections .

High point of the event was a special prayer said for Pastor Vincent Ekedayen by the President General of Uvwie General Improvement Union ( UGIU ) Chief Abovi Hope Erute.
