Akpowowo Restored Ethiope East Political Relevance In Delta – Oghenesivbe
… Urges DS-DTHA To Sustain Empowerment Of The People, Detribalized Nature
Executive Assistant on Communications to the Governor of Delta State and Chief Executive Officer of Delta State Orientation Bureau, DSOB, Dr (Barrister) Latimore Oghenesivbe has said that God used the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Arthur Akpowowo, to restore the political relevance of Ethiope East State Constituency,
which hitherto was confined to the back seat in the political scheme of things for more than two decades. He made the assertion in his goodwill message to the Deputy Speaker, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary celebration on Sunday in Asaba, and made available to newsmen.
Oghenesivbe noted that prior to Akpowowo’s Ethiope East State Constituency electioneering victory in 2023, the local government could not win governorship elections due to certain remote factors, but that the Sherrification of Delta State through the instrumentality of the governorship ticket of incumbent governor, Rt Hon (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, Ethiope East came to limelight and waxing strong.

He disclosed that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, not only defeated other political parties in the 2023 governorship election as a result of Akpowowo’s goodwill and popularity, the LGA also produced the Deputy Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly and attracted several other notable political appointments.
Oghenesivbe urged the Deputy Speaker to sustain his unblemished character, simplicity, detribalized nature and humility in the face of multifaceted complex scheming in the political arena, saying that the good people of Ethiope East are very happy that God used him to break the acute yoke of political stagnancy of several years, paving the way for continuous inflow of dividends of democracy in the LGA.
“I wish to respectfully join my Boss, the governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the people of Ethiope East and Deltans, to celebrate and congratulate the indefatigable Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Arthur Akpowowo, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
“It is crystal clear in our political history that God used you and our amiable governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, to break the yoke of political stagnancy which stagnated the advancement of Ethiope East State Constituency for nearly two decades.
“The sparkling oil of God on your forehead, coupled with your mesmerising humility, simplicity and pleasant personality, as well as your good deeds towards all manner of persons helped to upscale the political fortunes of our LGA during 2023 Governorship and House of Assembly elections, wherein Ethiope East won in a landslide to the Glory of God.
“God used your candidacy to show to all categories of persons that He alone is the unbeatable yoke breaker, the mortal power entity that no man can comprehend.
“You are indeed the political David of Ethiope East who God used to cure our shame, wiped away our tears and restored our relevance politically, to bring about a new dawn of favour, grace and integrity in the state political scheme of things.
“As you celebrate today, the entire management and staff of Delta State Orientation Bureau, DSOB, the Office of the Executive Assistant on Communications and Orientation, as well as my humble self and family heartily rejoice you.
“I pray, in the precious name of Jesus Christ, that God in his infinite mercy and overflowing grace and power, continue to enlarge your coast, grant you longevity, wisdom, uncommon prosperity and good health to serve the state and people without blemish,” Oghenesivbe prayed.
