Osun State Deputy Speaker Reacts To Death Of Olofa Ina

Deputy Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Akinyode Oyewusi, has commiserated deeply with His Royal Majesty; Timi of Ede land, Oba Munirudeen Lawal, H.E. Sen. Dr. Ademola Adeleke and all the sons and daughters of Ede, and by extension, all the indigenes of Osun State over the demise of Chief Adedeji Aderemi, popularly known as Baba Olofa Ina.

On Thursday night, fellow actor, Saidi Balogun revealed the death of the 73-year-old Yoruba actor via his Instagram profile (@SaidiBalogun).

Reacting, Oyewusi, said: “Baba Olofa Ina was until his death the Sobaloju of Edeland and a celebrated Actor who blessed the screen with evergreen movies. Chief among them are; Ija Omode by Korede Films, Idaamu Otunba by Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Ewe Orun by Korede Films, Kabiyesi Olodumare by Ogogo Films, and Mayegun by Yinka Quadri.”

He continued: “Chief Aderemi was a custodian of Yoruba tradition and has always been the voice among his peers. He was in a class of his own.”

He said his demise was indeed a great loss to them in Osun State.

“It is often hard to find the right words at a time like this. May you find peace, comfort, and all the love you need in the days to come,” he concluded.
