We Have Secured Financing For Reconstruction Of Benin-Asaba Expressway –Obaseki
By Daniel Dafe
Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has said that his administration has secured financing for the reconstruction of the Benin-Asaba Expressway to the tune of N228 billion.
Obaseki who said this in a post on X late Wednesday, added that entered into a concession with Infrastructure Corporation of Nigeria (InfraCorp) and AAA Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (Triple A Infrastructure).
He continued: “Having initiated this project, I implore the concessionaires to expedite and finalize work on the road so that the groans of our people enduring that route will become a thing of the past.”
Furthermore, he commended the Federal Ministry of Works for granting the concession for the road, just as he hoped that they will urgently consider terminating the Benin-Auchi Road contract and putting it up for concession.
