Delta Special Economic Zone Signs Development Agreement With Okime Partners

In a bid to boost the socio-economic development of the State, the Management of Delta Special Economic Zone has successfully secured a new investment opportunity through the signing of an agreement with an Okime Partners and Advisors to invest in the Koko Free Trade Zone.

The signing ceremony which took place today at their office in Asaba , marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing efforts to attract investments and promote industrialization within the State.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of Delta Special Economic Zone, Pastor Godwin Akpovie expressed optimism about the new investment partnership.

He underscored the significance of attracting investments to the State which include to drive industrialization, generate revenue, generate employment and unlock the State’s economic potential.

He appreciated the State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for creating a conducive environment for businesses to operate successfully.

Pastor Godwin Akpovie indicated that Okime Partners and Advisors is the lead investor in the Koko Free Trade Zone and called on investors to tap into the business opportunities that abound in the state.

The chairman of Okime Partners and Advisors, Nasiru Inuwa Wada in his remarks expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to collaborate with the Delta Special Economic Zone.

He highlighted the state’s favorable investment climate and the strategic location of the Koko Free Trade Zone as key factors that influenced their decision to invest in the State just as he indicated interest in building infrastructures, rail, electricity and ICT.

On his part, director of the Delta Special Economic Zone, Emmanuel Ofunne who was elated by development opined that the agreement will also allow the parties to evaluate potential opportunities for investment in the zone.

Others who spoke during the ceremony said the partnership will foster economic growth and prosperity in the State and Nigeria as a whole .

The agreement, signed between representatives of the Delta Special Economic Zone and the intending investor, outlines the terms and conditions of the investment partnership.Under the agreement, the intending investor commits to establishing and operating a business venture within the Koko Free Trade Zone, contributing to attract investors ,infrastructural development, job creation, skill development, and economic growth in Delta State , which is in consonance with the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda.

The team from Okime Partners and Advisors were led by their chairman,
Nasiru Inuwa Wada and their Managing Director, Nere Emiko; Prof Goodwill Ofunne and Engr Ahmed Rufai Mohammed as part of the entourage.

The highlight of the event was the signing of the agreement by the managements of Delta Special Economic Zone and Okime Partners and Advisors.
