…Makes Recommendation

Comr.(Amb.) Derrick Oritsematosan Agberen, National Coordinator,
“No Justice, No Peace Initiative,” has applauded Chairman, Udu Local Government Area in Delta State, Hon. (Chief) Jite Brown(JP) over the newly built Aladja Divisional Police Station.

In a statement on Monday night, he said: “When someone does something that is noble, it is good to acknowledge and give them accolades.”

Recall that on the 22nd of February, 2024, Chief Brown commissioned a newly built Aladja Divisional Police Station Headquarters, Aladja, through the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

“This project truly speaks volumes of the council boss and its worth emulating by other council chairmen,” he added.

He continued: “Over the years, the security strength in Udu Local Government Area, has been issues to give attention to, having only the Ovwian/Aladja Divisional Police Station, policing over 32 communities in Udu, unlike other Local Government Areas in the State that has, over 4/5 Divisional Police Stations in their Areas. In 2017 till 2021, when I was the Udu Local Government Human Rights Coordinator, Committee for the Defence of Human Rights(CDHR), I, constantly engaged and called out the Udu council boss, on the need to develop and also build a Divisional Police Station in the area, considering the challenges of cultism and other insecurity issues in the area.”

Jite Brown(JP) on this milestone reached, executing the newly commissioned Aladja Divisional Police Station, Headquarters. Indeed, the Police Division will make it, so much easier in combating crimes in the area.

“Furthermore, the Council boss should take advantage of this project, to make consultation with both the Governor of Delta State; Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the newly deployed Commissioner Of Police, CP Surajudeen Olufemi Abaniwonda, to address the renaming issue of the Burutu Area Command, Burutu, under-disguise in Udu Local Government Area, which ought not to be,” he concluded.
