Akpabio Accused Of Padding 2024 Budget By N3Trillion

Senate President Godswill Akpabio padded the 2024 Budget Bill signed into law by Bola Tinubu to the tune of N3Trillion, making history as the most fraudulently inflated budget in the history of Nigeria, Senator Abdul Ningi, has alleged.

He said for the first time in the history of Nigeria, the country is operating two different budgets- one budget approved by National Assembly signed by President Bola Tinubu and the one implemented by presidency.

“Apparently, we discovered that ₦3 trn was inserted into the budgets without locations. This is the highest budget padding that happened in Nigerian history under Senator Akpabio watch,” he said.
