The Nigeria Police Force has warned policemen to desist from acts of extortion, saying “plea bargain can only mitigate punishment, not exoneration.”
Recall that in recent times, news of police extortion have been on the increase.
The Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who wrote on X, added: “We dont tolerate misconduct.”

“The police upholds its core values, ethics, and dignity,” he concluded.
