The President of Essi College Old Students Association (ECOSA) Worldwide, Chief Syvelster Bighoro ( JP ) has decried the decay in some basic learning and teaching faculties in Essi College , Warri.
Bighoro who took journalists on an inspection tour of the school last weekend, lamented that the level of decay was alarming as he painfully noted that the library, science laboratories and other basic learning and teaching facilities in his days as a student, were no more.
He therefore appealed to Delta State Government, Technical Education Fund ,NDDC, DESOPAC , corporate organisations and public spirited individuals to come to the aid of the school in the provision of the said teaching and learning facilities.
Bighoro however lauded and appreciated some members of Essi College Old Students Association for their immense contributions towards the development of their alma mater.
One of them according to him , is Olorogun Jacob Diejemahor who he said single handedly sponsored a speech and prize giving day in the school.
Bighoro was also full of appreciation for another old student of the school, Sir David Ikutegbe whose foundation sponsored a debate competition in the school.
