Ekabo Donates N1M As Take-Off Seed For Esaba Church Building
The parish priest of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church, Sapele, Very Reverend Father Christopher Vwavware Ekabo has donated the sum of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira) as a take-off seed for the immediate construction of a modern auditorium for his home church, Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Esaba in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State.
The donation which was made during the church’s annual harvest/bazaar on Sunday 22nd January, 2017 was a fulfillment of a promise made by Fr. Christopher Ekabo during the triple celebration of his birthday, 18th priesthood ordination and book launch last year in Sapele.
Fr. Ekabo had promised to use the proceeds of the book launch titled “Social justice in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria: Contextualising the prophetic ministry of the church” to build a church in his home town.

It was revealed that as a priest, Fr. Ekabo has guided the construction of modern churches and parish houses in Ndoni, Aboh, Odion, Edjeba, Arhagba and Sapele.
The people present at the occasion nodded in affirmation that it was time to support the Rev. Fr. in building a church in Esaba.
Receiving the donation, the parish priest of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Okwagbe, Rev. Fr. Samuel Onose who is also the Principal of St. Vincent College, Okwagbe thanked Fr. Ekabo for the donation and promised to see through the completion of the church auditorium.
The Managing Director, Ekabo Oil and Gas Limited, Abraka, Mr. Samson Ekabo, JP was also present at the occasion.
