Ezeh Condemns Killing Of Military At Okuama

The immediate past President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts, Hon Chief ( Dr ) Nnajiofor Michael Ezeh (JP) who is also a member of the Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council, has condemned the killing of Nigerian Army officers and soldiers at Okuama Community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

This was contained in a statement he issued at his Effurun residence in Uvwie Local Government Area last weekend.

Chief Ezeh in the statement, described the killing as inhumane and barbaric.

‘The relative peace enjoyed in the state under the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori should be sustained by all in order to attract meaningful developments and investments” the statement added.

The statement praised the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his timely response and display of wisdom in handling the matter.

Chief Ezeh in the statement, used the opportunity to thank the Chairman of Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council , High Chief (Prof.) Sam Oyovbaire and other members of the council for the prompt response in condemning the killing of the Army Officers and Soldiers at Okuama.

Ezeh in the statement, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the army, officers and soldiers and those that were innocently killed in Okuama Community.

The statement appealed to the Federal Government not to allow innocent citizens of Okuama and its neighbouring communities to suffer for wrongs they did not know about.

The statement however requested that the perpetrators must not go unpunished.

As a Leader of the Non Indigenes in Delta State, Chief Ezeh in the statement, appealed to all Non Indigenes in the state to always be law abiding and give their total support to Governor Oborevwori.

“No meaningful developments can be achieved outside the corridor of peaceful environment; peace and security are top most of Governor Oborevwori ‘s agenda. the statement added.
