Former DG NIMASA, Akpobolokemi, Linked To Okuama Killings –Jackson Ude

Online Publisher, Jackson Ude, has said that “Patrick Akpobolokemi, a former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), who is facing charges for stealing N754million, and an ally of Tompolo, has been strongly linked to the killings in Okuama, Delta State, that led to the killings of 12 Soldiers.”

Ude, who said this in a post on X on Thursday, added: “insiders told me Akpobolokemi who is from the Ijaw speaking part of the area, working with Tompolo, took soldiers to the Okuama to “teach them a lesson.”

Okuama is an Urhobo speaking part of Delta state that shared boundaries with Okoloba, an Ijaw speaking part of the state.

The two communities have been in crisis for a while now.

It would be recalled that on Thursday, March 14, 2024, 16 soldiers who were part of the Nigerian Army’s troops on a peace mission between the Okuama and Okoloba communities were reportedly murdered by some youths in Okuama.

According to the Nigerian Army, among the casualties were a Commanding Officer, two Majors, one Captain, twelve soldiers, and one civilian.
