Ijaw Man Gives Financial Support To Student Studying Urhobo Language

The MD/CEO of Halcyon Cavic Nigeria Limited, Airport Road, Dumez Estate, Effurun, Delta State, Mr. Timadimene James Edoukumo has awarded a financial support of N100,000 to the best student studying BA Linguistics/Urhobo in the Department of Languages and Linguistics, Delta State University, Abraka.
The Donor, Edoukumo who is a contractor and farmer expressed readiness to continuously support the study of indigenous languages in Delta State because the languages are on the verge of going extinct.
He is married to an Urhobo damsel.

Oasis Magazine learnt that the best student would be selected and the official presentation of the cash would be made as soon as the students resume in second semester.
