Oborevwori’s Silverbird Award, Well Deserved – Ibuakevwe

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) Warri South Local Government Council chairmanship aspirant, Deacon Ejiro Ibuakevwe, has remarked that Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori’s Silverbird award of the ‘ Governor of Year 2023 ‘ was well deserved.
Ibuakevwe who is the Oghwuvwie ( President) of Agbarha Warri community of Edjeba, made the remark in a media interaction with our correspondent on the award in Warri last weekend.
The sixfooter political icon, recalled that Rt Honourable Oborevwori took even his political opponents by surprise when he announced the approval of building of flyover projects in Uvwie Local Government Area by a reputable construction company of Julius Berger shortly after he was inaugurated as governor of Delta State.
Ibuakevwe applauded and appreciated Governor Oborevwori for the rehabilitation of roads and installation of street lights in Warri South, Uvwie and other local government areas in the state.
He also noted that Governor Oborevwori was always on ground to supervise projects that were executed by the state government.

Ibuakevwe recalled that shortly after being sworn in as governor of Delta State, Rt Honourable Oborevwori cleared the salary arrears of civil servants including those that retired before he assumed office.
He further gave kudos to Governor Oborevwori for his appointment so far, as he noted that the appointments were made evenly across the state inrespective of the local government areas that did not vote for him.
Ibuakevwe also noted that those appointed by Governor Oborevwori so far were square pegs in square holes.
“If he ( Governor Oborevwori ) can achieve all these in less than a year in office, then he truly deserves the award,” Ibuakevwe added.
